Boat covers for Oxford and the River Thames

Choose the cover you actually need
A cockpit or tonneau cover closes the specified cockpit area while the boat is not being used. Show the complete fastening line, any raised controls and the access opening you need. Tell us where rainwater currently collects rather than assuming a new fabric alone will correct the shape.
For replacement canopy canvas, photograph the existing canopy closed and its entrance open. Show roof-to-side joins, clear windows, zip runs and the supports already fitted. We supply the fabric cover; supporting frames and their installation are not included.
If just one window, zip or seam has failed, start with a boat cover repair enquiry. Include a close-up and a wider view of the surrounding cloth. General repairs start from £70; the work required must be assessed before a price is confirmed.
We do not make whole-boat or winter-storage covers. A cockpit cover or replacement canopy covers only its agreed area and is not a substitute for checking the rest of the boat during winter.
Photos to take before removing your old cover
- Show your boat from the side with the cover fastened normally. Do not force shrunken fabric onto its fittings.
- Photograph the complete cover edge, front attachment and rear corners. Include any fitting that has moved since the cover was made.
- Show the openings you use to board or reach mooring lines. Mark which panels should detach separately.
- Photograph wear and leaks with the surrounding material visible. Label loose panels and keep connected sections together.
The current fit matters more than the boat name alone. A familiar model can have different supports, fasteners or alterations. If you have no old cover, or it no longer represents the boat, contact us before measuring or posting anything.
Ordering from an Oxford mooring
Send the photographs and describe whether you need repair, a cockpit cover or canopy panels. Once the sample, specification and quote are agreed, we provide posting instructions for the old cover or accepted template. We aim to dispatch within 6 working days of receiving the cover or confirmed measurements; delivery time is additional. Confirm timing before leaving your boat uncovered.
Tell us whether the return parcel should go to your home or another address. If you want delivery to a marina or boatyard, check that they will accept it and provide the correct recipient details. We do not assume that a mooring has a staffed parcel reception or offer a local fitting visit.
Fabric, windows and price
Discuss marine PVC and acrylic alongside the way you use and stow the cover. For an enclosure, tell us which windows you use for visibility and which panels are frequently folded. For a cockpit cover, show possible chafe points and explain how you remove and store it. Fabric choice does not remove the need for a suitable shape, ventilation and regular checks.
Replacement covers are individually quoted, with no VAT added. The boat-model catalogue gives the listed model and fabric prices; confirm the exact configuration before using a catalogue figure for your own boat. We do not advertise a single starting price for every Oxford canopy or tonneau.
