Read the boat-cover price guideChoosing a cover for the Elysian 27
A bespoke Elysian 27 cover enquiry should identify the part of the boat you want to protect: the cockpit enclosure, an existing fabric panel or a lower cockpit tonneau. We can discuss replacement soft covers around the fittings already on your boat, rather than assuming one factory canopy design.
Show how the cover connects to the cabin and how the rear area closes. If a fixed roof shelters part of your Elysian, identify the remaining fabric sections separately. The Elysian 27 name does not establish their size, window layout or fastening method.
Cover options for the boat as fitted
Whether a cover follows an existing frame, secures to existing fasteners, or fits another existing arrangement depends on what is actually on this boat. Confirm its fittings before choosing; UK Boat Covers supplies the cover, not framework.
What to include with a quote request
Take clear photos of the individual boat and its present fittings. The model name alone cannot confirm the pattern or fit.
- Identify the boat as Elysian 27; include any maker's plate or paperwork you have.
- Show which areas have a fixed roof and which are enclosed by fabric.
- Photograph cabin joins and the full rear attachment line.
- Label separate panels and identify windows requiring replacement.
Can a cover be copied by post?
An Elysian 27 cover can be assessed for copying by post when the sample still communicates its fitted shape. Photograph it in place, label adjoining panels and point out any loose or shrunken edges. Where no sound sample survives, ask for a measurement plan; another cruiser of similar length is not a substitute pattern.
Postal copying uses your existing cover as a pattern; it does not include supplying or installing support framework.
Fitting and measurements for the Elysian 27
For the Elysian 27 enquiry, trace the boundary of each fabric section on a fitted photograph. Record where it attaches to rigid surfaces and where it meets another soft panel. Cabin shape and existing alterations matter more than a general length or beam entry in a boat directory.
Contact us before measuring: agree the attachment points, panel joins and photos needed for this cover. Do not send unsupported dimensions or remove fittings to match a different boat's pattern.
Read the measurement guideMarine canvas, windows and fastening details
Marine acrylic can provide a breathable canopy enclosure, while marine PVC may be considered for a wipe-clean cockpit cover. Discuss clear-panel visibility and how often each panel is removed before deciding.
We can assess window replacements, zip runs, fasteners and reinforcement against the existing sample. If a window has clouded but the fabric is serviceable, ask whether repair is appropriate before replacing the entire enclosure.
Quick Answers: Elysian 27 Covers
Can you replace just a fabric rear panel on my Elysian 27?
Show the rear panel fitted and its connections to the roof or adjoining canvas. A panel-only replacement can be discussed after assessing those joins and the condition of the remaining enclosure.
Does the Elysian 27 model name identify a standard canopy?
No standard pattern is promised here. Existing roofs, supports and fastenings must be photographed and checked for your individual boat.
What if my Elysian 27 has no old cover to post?
Send overall and close-up photos first. We will discuss the measurements needed and whether the existing arrangement provides enough information for a cover-only quote.
