River Bure Boat Covers

The River Bure is the principal river of the Norfolk Broads, flowing approximately 30 miles from Aylsham southeastwards through the heart of Broadland to join the River Yare at Great Yarmouth. Wroxham, at the tidal head of navigation, is known as the capital of the Broads and is the main centre for boat hire, with a large fleet of cruisers available for weekly holidays. The river passes Horning, one of Broadland's most picturesque villages, before reaching the junction with the River Ant at St Benet's Abbey — the only unruined medieval abbey in England — and flowing through Acle and Stokesby towards the coast. Ranworth Broad, accessible via the River Ant, is one of the finest nature reserves on the Broads. The open Broadland landscape means boats are exposed to strong easterly winds from the North Sea, summer UV, and significant rainfall.
