River Avon (Warwickshire) Boat Covers

The Warwickshire Avon flows 46 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon southwestwards through Pershore and Evesham to Tewkesbury, where it joins the River Severn. The river is navigable throughout by cruisers and narrowboats, providing a beautiful and popular boating route through the heart of the Vale of Evesham. Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre on the riverbank, is the most famous mooring on the river, always busy with cruisers and trip boats. Pershore with its magnificent Norman abbey, Evesham amid its renowned fruit orchards, and Tewkesbury with its extraordinary medieval abbey at the confluence with the Severn complete the highlights. The Warwickshire Avon Society maintains the river navigation through 17 locks, some of which can be operated by boaters.
