Marine Canvas for All Cover Types

Marine canvas covers any woven fabric used in boat cover and canopy construction. At UK Boat Covers, we use two grades: our 850gsm PVC-coated canvas for maximum waterproofing, and Odyssey Plus acrylic canvas for breathable, UV-resistant applications. Both meet the demands of year-round use on UK waterways — salt spray, persistent rain, UV exposure, and temperature cycles from freezing winter nights to summer heat.

What We Make from Marine Canvas

Every cover we produce is made from marine canvas in our Carterton workshop:

• Boat canopies — full overhead and side enclosures for motorboats, cruisers, and narrowboats
• Tonneau covers — cockpit and deck protection for moored boats
• Narrowboat cratch covers — bow enclosures for canal boats
• Replacement canopies — exact copies of worn or damaged originals
• Spray hoods, dodgers, and companionway covers for sailing yachts
• Bimini tops and folding sun canopies

Handcrafted in Oxfordshire

Every piece of marine canvas we make is cut and sewn by hand in our workshop. The pattern is taken from your existing cover, laid flat on our cutting table, and used to cut panels from the canvas roll. Seams are stitched with UV-stabilised polyester thread. Windows are cut and bonded in marine-grade clear vinyl. Fastenings — press studs, zips, buckle straps — are heavy-duty marine grade throughout.
