Ordering a Replacement Boat Canopy
The simplest and most accurate way to get a replacement canopy is to post your existing one to us. However worn, torn, or faded it is, the shape of your original canopy is the most accurate pattern that exists for your specific boat. We lay it flat, trace every panel, and use the pattern to cut a new canopy in marine-grade canvas. The result fits exactly — every window cutout, every zip panel, every stud position reproduced precisely.
What We Reproduce
- Full canopy shape — side panels, top panel, all curved and angled sections
- Window cutouts in clear marine vinyl, sized and positioned exactly
- Zip positions and zip types (YKK marine zips as standard)
- Press stud layouts on the hem and attachment rail
- Any internal pockets, straps, or reinforcing patches
- Ventilation panels if present on the original
Material Upgrades
When ordering a replacement, you can choose to upgrade the fabric. If your original was in lower-grade canvas that has degraded, we can reproduce the same shape in our 850gsm marine PVC or Odyssey Plus acrylic, extending the life of the replacement significantly. Colour upgrades are also available.
What If the Original Is Too Damaged to Post?
If your canopy has been destroyed or discarded, contact us with your boat's make, model, and year. We hold patterns for over 170 UK boat models and can often produce a replacement from our pattern file without needing your original. If we don't hold the pattern, photographs of the boat (from all four sides, including the canopy rail or hoop positions) allow us to make a close approximation for most standard configurations.

Material and Colour Options for Your Replacement
When ordering a replacement canopy, you can choose either marine PVC or Odyssey Plus acrylic canvas. Marine PVC (850gsm) is fully waterproof — the best choice for boats moored in exposed locations or used on tidal waters. Acrylic canvas is breathable and lighter — preferred for boats in covered moorings or where condensation has been an issue with previous PVC covers. Both fabrics are UV-resistant and suitable for year-round UK conditions.
Colour options include navy, dark grey, dark green, burgundy, cream, and others. If your original cover is in a colour you want to match, tell us when posting — we can usually match standard marine canvas colours exactly. If you prefer a different colour, any colour in our range is available at no premium.
