Types of Yacht Cover We Make

Yachts require several different types of cover depending on how they're rigged, moored, and used. We make cockpit covers, wheel covers, boom covers, spray hoods, and full winter storage covers — all bespoke to your yacht's specific dimensions, rig configuration, and deck fittings.

Cockpit Covers

A cockpit cover fits over the entire cockpit area, from the companionway to the stern rail. It protects the seating, helm position, instruments, and cockpit sole from UV, rain, and bird fouling when the boat is at its mooring. All cockpit cover designs accommodate the boom above, either resting on it or working around it. From £429, no VAT.

Boom Covers

A boom cover (also called a lazyjack bag or stack pack) protects the mainsail and boom when furled. Made in UV-resistant acrylic canvas to match the sail's existing cover, or in marine PVC for maximum weather protection. Fitted with press studs or zip closure along the bottom edge. Custom-made to your boom length and sail stack dimensions. From £289.

Spray Hoods and Companionway Covers

We make replacement spray hoods (also called dodgers) in marine PVC or acrylic canvas, with clear vinyl windows and zip-panel access. Spray hoods are measured from your existing one using the postal copy service, ensuring the attachment points and window positions match exactly. From £389, no VAT.

Motor Sailers and Cruising Yachts

Motor sailers and larger cruising yachts often require covers for multiple areas: cockpit, helmstation, winches, and sometimes the coachroof. We produce multi-section cover sets as well as individual pieces, and can work from an existing set to produce an exact replacement. Ordering

Post your existing covers to our Carterton workshop. We pattern from them and return new covers in your chosen fabric within six working days. If you don't have existing covers, contact us with your yacht's LOA, make, model, and year — we hold patterns for many production yachts and can often quote from our files.
