Step-by-Step: Ordering a Replacement Canopy
Replacing a boat canopy is straightforward when you use our postal copy service. Here's the complete process from start to finish.
Step 1: Remove Your Existing Canopy
Carefully remove the canopy from your boat. Note how the attachment points work: press studs, zips, buckle straps, or rail clips. Photograph the canopy fitted to the boat if possible — these photos are useful if there's any ambiguity about how a particular section attaches. The cover can be in any condition; even badly torn or faded, the shape is what matters.
Step 2: Pack and Post
Fold the canopy loosely (don't force sharp folds in stiff PVC), pack it in a box or large bag, and post it to: UK Boat Covers, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3HP. Use a tracked service. Include a note with your name, phone number, the boat make/model, and your fabric and colour choice.
Step 3: We Pattern and Make
We receive your canopy, lay it flat on our cutting table, and take a complete pattern from every panel. We then cut and sew your new canopy in the material and colour you've chosen. Every feature of the original is reproduced: window positions and sizes, zip placement, press stud layout, vent positions, and any custom shaping.
Step 4: Return
Your new canopy is dispatched by tracked courier within six working days of us receiving the original. Your old canopy is returned in the same parcel. No additional charge for return postage.

If you have an existing cover to copy, use our postal copy service: remove your cover, post it to our Carterton, Oxfordshire workshop, and we'll return a new one in your chosen material within six working days. Your original is returned in the same parcel. No VAT is charged on any order.
